So who are you again?
My regular journal is beckerbell and there's nothing particularily interesting to tell about me, I'm a fangirl like most other fangirls, I think. ^_^;; Nothing that makes me particularily qualified to write anime/manga reviews, beyond that I watch a lot of anime and I know what I like and like to think I can recognize if I like something as a guilty pleasure and when I like it 'cause it's actually good. ^_~


Uke... what?
Blame startredder. I don't remember how it started, except for that we were trying to hurt each other and one of us mentioned something about Atobe (from Prince of Tennis) and sheep and my mind wouldn't process the other horrible images, but THAT one just popped right into my head and traumatized me. It's been a running gag ever since.

....hey, it's not like dolphinsex was any better! *hmph* Speaking of which, yes, I did indeed use to write reviews for that comm and I'm not going to say it's dead, it's just... originally, there was a balanced feel to the comm, because gaki and I were both writing reviews. Lately, for a multitude of reasons, she hasn't been able to watch as much anime or read as much manga, so I've been the one writing more and more reviews. Which made me feel kind of badly, since I didn't want to clutter up people's flists with just my babblings. Instead, because I wanted to use "uke_sheep" for something, I decided to move my reviews over to this journal instead. That way, I don't have to worry about feeling guilty about whether or not I'm spamming someone's friends page. XD;;


What will be reviewed here?
This journal is for reviewing anime and manga series for the most part, whether positive or negative. Occasionally, I'll do comics or TV shows, but this is going to be largely geared towards anime&manga, much like beckymarie was. ....which is pretty much what this journal is going to become. Why not keep that one instead? It's long, vague, and not that interesting. But if you really care, here. Basically, I just felt I needed a fresh start and wanted a place that was meant, right from the get-go, to be a place to house these long-winded posts.

Now, I say "reviews" in many places, but I may often also branch out into meta topics or anything else I feel like. Originally, I also had a format that I planned to stick to. That's going right out the window now, because it's much easier for me to post the way the recent entries are being posted (ie, without the cumbersome template). I update usually whenever the hell I feel like it, which'll probably once a week at most.

Now, If you want fandom stuff (fic or art), I have a journal for that, too (tomomichi), however, unlike that journal, I will occasionally dislike some things mentioned here. Not very often, but occasionally an anime series just doesn't work for me, be it because it's badly done, because there's nothing special about it, or because it hit a bad note for me personally. I tend to note my biases, but they are still my biases, so if you find that you and I disagree on a lot of stuff, you may want to not trust my judgement, ne? ^_~


So, I wanted to yell at you for your cracktastic views on my favorite series, do you mind that?
Not at all--I welcome discussion, whether it be as windy as the post I just made or if you want to write a two-line comment saying, "Wheee! I <3 that show, too!" Whatever you want to say is fine, I welcome both discussion and disagreement right along with the like-minded squee'ing. Or if you just want to lurk, that's fine, too. I'm painfully shy myself, so I know what it's like to not know how to comment, so I can certainly empathize with that.



Anything else?
....not that I can think of yet? Oh, except that I probably will occasionally put up downloads if I have something I think people want. I'll also friend back anyone who friends the journal, though, I doubt I'll have much occasion to make locked posts. Every once in awhile, there probably will be one or two, just because there are some things I don't know that they should be public. (Though, I'm drawing a blank on examples. ~____~)
